Consistency and Help

This is Steve he was my first client. He's been with me ever since I moved back to Michigan 6 years ago. His transformation is a combination of his hard work, a lot of early morning works outs and consistency. Steve is a father of 5, owns his own business and is firefighter. He could of easily said he was to busy and put his health on the back burner but he didn't. He found a way and he got it done.

I take no credit for his transformation he did all the hard work and heavy lifting. But the lesson I take from him hiring me is that sometimes we need a little help. Don't be afraid to ask for help. I'm guiltily of this all the time. I should ask for help more often. It goes back to ego, put your ego in check and when you need help ask for help.

Steve's consistency is another aspect that is impressive. The work outs I had Steve do for the last 6 years are not super long or complicated they're simple and efficient. Progress is born from consistency. Everybody wants that quick fix, the new fad or that new exercise that will get them what they want. By looking for those quick fixes or miracles all your doing is wasting time and making everything more complex. Guess what it's simple, put in the consistent work and it will pay off. Maybe not tomorrow or maybe not next month but it will happen.

You want to know how to get started? Just go do it! Don't think about it some more, just act. And if you don't know how to get it done go find someone who does. It's simple, figure out what you want and don't let anything stop you until you've reached it. This isn't just with fitness you can apply this in your life, work or relationships. Do you want a promotion at work, well go after it. Do you want to be a better spouse, sister, brother, just go do it.

There's a phrase they used in the Krav Maga gym I used to go to it was "you're in charge of your own training" meaning if you have a question you better ask or if your not putting your full effort in then it's your fault that you didn't get the most out of the days training. The same thing goes with your life you're in charge of your own life. If you want something go get it, nobody is going to hand it to you. Go after it, put in the hard work and consistency and get it done. And if you don't know how to get it done then ask someone who does and then put in the hard work.  Rock n Roll
